UNSOLVED: Hagos Melake murder 2013

Hagos Tsegay Melake, 26 was found murdered on 29 August 2013 slumped against a building on Hamline Ave North, in Shoreview.

Hagos took a bus after 9 p.m. from his home to downtown St.  Paul on 28 August to the Hunan Garden Restaurant on Cedar Street.  He went by himself and arrived around 10 pm.  Hagos left the restaurant with 2 men around 1:45 am according to a witness.

At 6:40 am police were called to a body lying in they parking lot of a business. The caller explained that they had seen someone laying on the ground near the building. When the deputy arrived they found that the man was Hagos, who had been shot in the back if the head and killed. At the time, Hagos was also not carrying any forms of identification.

The 2 people Hagos left with are pictures below. One of them was an African-American male with a shaved head, and the other was a light-skinned person of an uncertain gender and race with short dark hair and an orange or red t-shirt. The second person also had several arm tattoos.

At 4:30 am this woman was seen taking money out of Hagos bank account.  She is the 3rd person of interest is an African American woman who used Hagos bank card at 4:30 that morning at the Minneapolis US Bank on W. Broadway Ave near Dupont Ave. She struggled with the transaction for several seconds before successfully getting some money.  Notice she held the card with her shirt!
