Kevin Brewer, 11 was murdered just after 10 p.m. on August 3, 2000 near Cottage Park in North Minneapolis. Brewer, who was shot three times was with a friend when they stopped to watch a fight among men who were gambling near Cottage Park. Approximately 100 people were present when the incident occurred, however past rewards have not yielded a break in the case.
Please help bring closure to the family and friends of Kevin Brewer, and bring his killer to justice.

It’s been a long time my nephew Kevin I miss him so much nobody still ain’t saying anything I wish I could turn that night all the way around I should have never went to Amos and Amos to get some barbecue and Italian beef that’s what he wanted to barbecue ribs I should have never went my nephew would be still here all them black people was out there and they still won’t say nothing my nephew would have been 32 years old and they criticized us on the radio said how bad a mom my sister was she wasn’t we did the best way that we was taught I had help I watched him my name is Antoinette Brewer I know it was on a mistake everybody loved Kevin the thing is they could have came forward all these years nobody said nothing until 3 years ago a lady got mad at someone and she called his name out she on Facebook and tag all the Brewer I don’t know why she did that she didn’t come forward when it happened then the bad thing everybody knew who did it it took that lady to get mad at someone who was talking about her husband her dad husband did she want to get on Facebook and say the man name I think I know who you are corner man she definitely said that name and she said Kevin Brewer afterwards all y’all knew that whole community that say they love him all of y’all knew except his family I went to Amos and Amos to get us food he was just a kid that be outside 24/7 he was a hard-headed kid I’m not denying that everybody do so much shade at my family and my sister and me when you were single parent and you try to do everything my sister work honestly I was the one that he always wanted to be with so it’s not her fault it’s my fault for going to Amos and Amos one thing about the black community we definitely know how to tell each other down always want to say that he went outside to be nosy he was grown yeah yes you were and he was everything to me into my sister people don’t know what words can do to a person and then you don’t know only person can judge is God all I did was go to Amos and Amos to get my beef ribs Italian beef and a piece of puff for my nephew my son and me and I can’t forget about shamika a piece of puff her too I wish that person would just turn yourself in I’ve been waiting on that for 21 years time is taken my nephew was a lovable kid everyone love my nephew I just won’t to tell everyone that he was in love by everyone especially his auntie fat I love him so much and thank you that I can give up my comment but I’m going to say this we got to do more in our black community we do man we really do my nephew been dead for 21 years nobody saying nothing everybody’s saying something about the police but they ain’t saying nothing about black on black crime that’s the worst nobody said nothing about Kevin Brewer no one now we got other kids dying too of the same thing that don’t mean people’s is bad parents he just can’t keep your eye on them 24/7
