Megan Boswell in court this morning

Megan Boswell appeared in court via zoom this morning.


The case against Megan Boswell has not gone to the grand jury yet!  There are 25 hours of interviews of Boswell that have not been viewed yet.  It was said that 1 hour of interviews takes several hours to get through.

A bond hearing is set for May 15th at 9am.  A decision on the bond hearing is set for May 28th at 9am.

May 20th is the next grand jury hearing, it’s unknown if the Boswell case will be heard at that time or if it will be presented in June.

As of right now, Boswell is charged with filing a false police report. Sullivan county law enforcement have started they have identified a person of interest in Evelyn’s case but refused to name the suspected individual due to the ongoing investigation.

Officials in Sullivan county are looking to pass Evelyn Boswell law which would require parents to verbally report their child as missing, abducted, or as a runaway within 48 hours of the child’s disappearance. Failure to do so would be a class C felony.
