The St. Paul PD are investigating a homicide that happened this morning on the 1700 block of Suburban Ave. Â It happened in the parking lot of Target. Â The victim was transported to the fire department. The suspect is wearing a white hoodie, skinny blue jeans, black backpack. Â Target closed after the shooting.

At approximately 9:51 a.m., officers were called on the report of a shooting in the parking lot of a Target store on Suburban Avenue. The victim from the shooting was transported by private vehicle to a nearby Saint Paul Fire station where medics rendered aid. The victim was pronounced dead at the fire station.
Officers secured an area in the Target parking lot where the incident occurred and outside the fire station. Homicide investigators are working to determine what led to this incident. The forensic services unit will be processing the scenes for evidence.

The Ramsey County medical examiner will positively identify the victim and determine his exact cause of death. This information, along with any updates on the case, will be released on the Saint Paul Police Department Twitter account, @sppdmn.
This is the 9th homicide of 2023 in Saint Paul.
