Freund police report 16 February 2018

Officers arrived at approximately 2:39 PM. The officer responded to 94 Dole Avenue reference I’m missing adult. Upon arrival the officer met with the complainant. Redact stated her friend and roommate is currently missing. Redact stated on 14 February redact learned that a friend of his had passed away. Redact advised redact became depressed and told her he was going to Chicago on the train. Redact stated the redact does not have a drivers license and he usually takes the train if he goes to Chicago. Redact stated redact frequency Chicago a lot however does not have any addresses.

Redact explain read that I was checked in with her and always has his cell phone on. Read that stated redact cell phone is currently turned off. The officer attempted to call the cell and confirm his cell phone was turned off. The officer was on able to ping the cell phone.

Redact stated she called every single hospital and detox center in Chicago prior to the officers arrival. Redact stated redact was not at any of those locations. The officer called the Cook County medical examiner and there were no males that matched his description there. There was also negative results at all local McHenry County Hospital and PADS shelters and redact is not in police custody.

The officer put together a flyer with his photograph and disseminated it to local and surrounding agencies including Chicago. It was entered into leads as a missing endangered adult by seecom. The officer attempted to make contact with redact and was unsuccessful, his phone was still turned off.

FOLLOW-UP
And 18 February officer made contact with redact to find out if she has heard from the roommate. Redact advised she received a phone call from redact on 19 February informing her that he was currently in Chicago. Redact then provided the officer with a security authorization number assigned to redact at the Chicago location which would allow the officer to speak with staff regarding redact current status.

The officer made contact with staff in Chicago. The officer confirmed that he was currently in their care.

The officer sent seecom an email requesting redact be removed from the leads program to no longer missing. The officer sent out a cancellation flyer to surround in law-enforcement agencies regarding redact.
