1997 Toni Bachman murder solved 2015

Toni Ann Bachman went missing in April of 1997!  She was having marital troubles and turned to the internet.  She found a guy that she chatted with name D.C.  Toni was a computer expert and spent a lot of time online!   She was in a chat group called Inner Circle and she posted about her marriage and wanting a divorce!  D.C. was from West Virginia and she claimed she was in love with him. They communicated by email, telephone or instant message.  Toni’s last communication with him was 25 April 1997 at 8:58 pm.:

I’m back on email but can’t chat because Norm is home. So… whatever!

    Love you!
    Toni

p.s. hes [sic] staring at the screen too!  I LOVE YOU!

The email before that which was on 25 April 1997 at 8:18 pm:

I think Norm is coming home from work to fight again. Only this time I mean FIGHT in a much bigger way. He is threatening me with stuff.

After Toni had been killed by Norm, he sent 2 emails to D.C. One on 10 May 1997, it is signed Norm. Norm claimed that Toni was having s3x with many men and that “[s]he had a lot of Skeletons in the closet and there coming out in a big way! The second dated 12 May 1997, it was unsigned but it referenced the 10 May email and the writer refers to himself as Toni’s husband. Norm continued to disparage Toni, saying that she had them both “fooled”. Neither email asked D.C. if he knows where Toni is, or whether he’s heard from her or not.

The evidence found in the house should have been enough to charge Norm long before 2015!  There was a bloody sheet hidden between the mattress and the bed frame in the master bedroom. Bloodstains, human tissue and human fat were discovered on a box inside their basement freezer; blood was found on the floor, blood and tissue on the basement doors!  Blood was found on a cooler and Christmas tree box.    Authorities stated the evidence was consistent with blunt force trauma. DNA analysis proved that the blood and tissue were Toni’s in September 1997.

All three of Bachman’s boys had been interviewed numerous times!  Frederick, Christopher and Norman III.

In 2003, Bachman’s youngest son Frederick, then 16, told police that he saw his dad go into Toni’s room with an X-Acto knife and then he heard “a muffled sound like someone trying to say something from under a pillow,” the complaint said.

That same year Christopher, then 18, told police that after his dad left Toni’s room, he saw her lying on the bed on her stomach, her arms under the pillow, her eyes closed.

Frederick, was interviewed by authorities at this time and told them his father had admitted to killing Toni, but said no one would ever be able to prove it.  Frederick recalled that his father cleaned the basement with bleach after Toni was last seen, and that there was a funny smell in Norman’s car immediately after Toni’s disappearance.

This whole investigation took a turn when Norman’s youngest son, Frederick worked at a funeral home, and he claimed he now recognized the smell as being consistent with a corpse.

In 1998, Bachman was convicted of first-degree criminal sexual conduct for raping and stabbing another woman, and was sentenced to five years in prison.

Toni’s webpage is still up: TickAngel’s Cave

From what I see in the courts, Norman III is known to law enforcement. Dwi’s, terrorist threats, refusing a breath test, fleeing just to name a few of his offenses.
