Here’s why you can’t trust Wikipedia

Wikipedia was founded in 2001 by Larry Sanger and Jimmy Wales. Wikipedia is a free online encyclopedia, created and edited by volunteers around the world.

I continually see people referencing the site!  This is why I tell people they are referencing a site that anyone can edit and write whatever they want, and you believe it!

So looking around I came across this, on Wikipedia:

….football player who was a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) and would love to suck….

Yeah this really happened, here’s the proof: Merciful made the change on 25 July 2020 at 16:16:08 (4:16 pm)  and was changed back 25 July 2020 at 16:30:29 (4:30 pm)

So someone had to go back and revert it back to its original, but how many times has this been done and gone unnoticed? Look how many times Merciful has made changes on Wikipedia!  Why does merciful still have an account?
Facts are Wikipedia isn’t a fact site.  It can be changed by anyone at anytime.  They ask for money during the year to help keep it up.  People donate, yet it took a search and a ton of clicks to find their big donators:

Thank you to our benefactors for their generous donations to the Wikimedia Endowment and for providing free access to knowledge to the world.
