Around 5 a.m. Saturday, August 7, 2010, Saint Paul police responded to a report of a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian in the Union Gospel Mission parking lot at 435 University Avenue E., St. Paul.
Witnesses told police Danny Wright, 54 was walking in the parking lot when he was struck by a vehicle. The suspect, an adult male, then fled the scene.
Danny was transported to Regions Hospital where he later died. Investigators believe the driver was in a smaller, two-door dark blue or green car. The vehicle likely has or had damage to the front end, hood and/or roof.
