St. Paul PD press release:
At approximately 9:51 a.m., officers were called on the report of a shooting in the parking lot of a Target store on Suburban Avenue. The victim from the shooting was transported by private vehicle to a nearby Saint Paul Fire station where medics rendered aid. The victim was pronounced dead at the fire station.

Officers secured an area in the Target parking lot where the incident occurred and outside the fire station. Homicide investigators are working to determine what led to this incident. The forensic services unit will be processing the scenes for evidence.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact investigators at 651-266-5650.

The Ramsey County medical examiner will positively identify the victim and determine his exact cause of death. This information, along with any updates on the case, will be released on the Saint Paul Police Department Twitter account, @sppdmn.

This is the 9th homicide of 2023 in Saint Paul.

At approximately 9 p.m., officers were called to a residence on the report of a stabbing. When officers arrived, they located an adult female who was suffering from apparent stab wounds to her upper body.

Multiple witnesses on scene were holding an adult male suspect. Officers took the man into custody.

Saint Paul Fire medics responded to the scene and transported the victim to Regions Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Homicide investigators are working to determine what led to this incident. The forensic services unit will be processing the scene for evidence.
