Arrested:
Two adult males have been arrested and formally charged in connection to the March 9, 2023, homicide in
the City of Fridley.
• Johnson Kenny Sirleaf, age 32, of Plymouth, MN Murder in the 2nd Degree (With Intent)(Not Premeditated)
• Blanyon Toe Davies, age 29, of Brooklyn Park, MN – Aiding an Offender

This investigation remains ongoing by the Fridley Police Department, Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office, and Anoka County Sheriff’s Office. No further information will be released at this time.

A man was shot and killed Thursday morning around 11am in the Cub parking lot in Fridley. Life saving efforts were started by passerby’s. Ems arrived and continued life saving efforts and proceeded to the hospital, where the man was pronounced deceased shortly after. I’ll update as soon as more information is released.
Looks like Devon Adams had a construction company in Hugo.

Officers were dispatched to the area of University and 57th avenues NE in response to a potential shooting in the west parking lot. Upon arrival, officers located a male down and performed life-saving measures.

Fridley Homicide
On March 9, 2023, at approximately 11:03 A.M., the Fridley Police Department, Columbia Heights Police Department, Coon Rapids Police Department, Spring Lake Park Police Department, Blaine Police Department, Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, and Allina EMS responded to 250 57th Ave NE in the City of Fridley on the report of an individual who had been shot in the parking lot of the Cub Foods. Lifesaving measures were administered by bystanders and first responders, and the adult male victim was transported via ambulance to a local hospital. Shortly after arrival, the male was declared deceased.
This investigation is in its early stages and limited public information is available. The incident is under investigation by the Fridley Police Department, Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office, and Anoka County Sheriff’s Office. No further information will be released at this time.
