Calvin Lavell Garron Unsolved murder 2022

Monday [12/16/2024] was the 2 year anniversary of the death of Calvin Lavell Garron, age 51, B/M, on December 16, 2022.

On 12/16/2022 Mr. Garron was found in the area of 6080 East River Road in the City of Fridley after being struck by a vehicle.

Garron was found lying in the roadway with grave injuries after being struck by a vehicle. The unknown vehicle fled the location and Garron died at the scene. There are no witnesses or suspect information at this time.

On December 16, 2022, at approximately 5:17 P.M., the Fridley Police Department responded to a report of an individual laying on the ground near the 6000 block of East River Rd NE in the City of Fridley. Upon arrival, emergency responders declared the adult male deceased at the scene.

Indications show that the male was struck by a motor vehicle that then left the scene after the crash. The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office is asking for any individuals who may have witnessed or have information about the crash to contact the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office at (763) [removed].

This case remains under investigation by the City of Fridley Public Safety, Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol, and the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office. No further information will be released at this time.

***UPDATE from the 12/16 death investigation in Fridley and REQUEST for the public’s assistance***
The adult male decedent in the December 16, 2022, death investigation in the City of Fridley has been identified as:

• Calvin Lavell Garron, age 51, of Fridley, MN

No arrests have been made in this incident and The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to ask for any individuals who may have witnessed or have information about the crash to contact the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office at (763) [removed].

At the time of Mr. Garron’s death, he was wearing a dark colored jacket, blue jeans, black and white shoes, and carrying items in a plastic bag (picture of Mr. Garron below). The possible motor vehicle involved may have front end damage due to the crash.

This case remains under investigation by the City of Fridley Public Safety, Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol, and the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office. No further information will be released at this time.
