Alexis Hawkins died this past Monday morning [31 October 2011] after Oklahoma City police were called to her house Sunday night after a report came in of an unresponsive 3 year old. Alexis was taken to the hospital where Doctors informed police that she had multiple signs of child abuse.
The mother Victoria Phanhtharath and her boyfriend, Freddy Mendez [not Alexis biological father]were charged with child abuse, but later upgraded to first degree murder.
A neighbor had heard Alexis screaming and crying, and another neighbor heard the ceiling shaking.
Both the mother and boyfriend are not new to the world of arrests, both had been charged with possession last year.
The Affidavit says:
¤ The mother admits she shoved Alexis.
¤ Boyfriend was screaming and yelling at Alexis for NOT eating.
¤ Mother threw a shoe, boyfriend started beating Alexis with it.
¤ Boyfriend picked up Alexis by the neck and started shaking her.
NOW note, this mother is charged with murder of a 3 year old. It is always the other persons fault.
