Kamille Mckinney died by asphyxiation

Patrick Stallworth and his girlfriend Derick Irisha Brown, were formally charged with capital murder of a child under the age of 14. Both could face the death penalty. Stallworth and Brown are held without bond.

Stallworth and Brown had a court hearing this morning. Jefferson County Circuit Judge Clyde Jones read their capital murder warrants. The warrants state Kamille died by asphyxiation by suffocation on 12 October 2019, the night she went missing.

Stallworth has no idea why he is charged with with Kamille’s murder. He told the judge: “I don’t understand why I was charged with murder of this child.”

Judge Jones told Stallworth that his lawyer will explain the charges to him and that the state will present evidence against him at the preliminary hearing, if he chooses to have one. Stallworth said he plans to hire his own attorney.

Jefferson County District Attorney Danny Carr will be handling this case himself!

Kamille McKinney two charged with capital murder

Jefferson County Distract Attorney Danny Carr announced Patrick Stallworth and Derick Brown are both charged with capital murder of a victim under the age of 14 years of age. He went on to say that both will be transported to the Jefferson county jail and held with no bond.

“Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the family as they grieve their loss of Kamille” Carr stated.
He went on to thank the community for the outpouring of tips! He thanked the Birmingham police department and the FBI plus other agencies for their countless hours of work in this case under extremely difficult circumstances. No further comments will be made pending criminal prosecution.

Kamille McKinney attorney’s for two detained

Attorney Emory Anthony is the attorney for Patrick Stallworth, who is a person if interest in the case of missing Kamille McKinney, told a news conference that his client had nothing to do with the disappearance of Kamille.

“Stallworth is just taken back that he’s considered a suspect in the disappearance of this lovely child,” Anthony said to WVTM News 13! Anthony said his client isn’t involved with anything related to Kamille.

Adam Danneman is a public defender whose office represents Derick Irisha Brown, he released a statement:

“Like everyone in our community, Ms. Brown is horrified about the ongoing tragedy involving Kamille McKinney. However, she adamantly denies having any personal knowledge or playing any role, direct or indirect, in this child’s abduction. We understand that this is a sensitive and timely issue, and it is easy to rush to judgment upon seeing someone’s face plastered on a news story involving a missing child. However, no evidence has been presented to indicate that Ms. Brown had any involvement in Kamille’s abduction. Both Ms. Brown and our office hope and pray that this child is safely returned to her family.”

Kamille McKinney update Patrick Stallworth released

Patrick Devone Stallworth was released on bond! His bond was set at $500,000 for 7 counts of child pornography. Stallworth has 2 prior arrests for marijuana in 2004 and 2013.

From jail records he was released at 0322!

He has not been charged in connection with Kamille’s disappearance.

Seems there is no bond listed on Derick Irisha Brown inmate paperwork. Brown is accused of abducting her 3 children from Alabama Department of Human Resources custody.

Two held in connection to Kamille McKinney on unrelated charges

Two people in police custody in the disappearance of Kamille “Cupcake” McKinney have been charged in unrelated cases!

Patrick Devone Stallworth was charged with four counts of possession of child pornography and three counts of possession of child pornography with intent to distribute. The pornography was found on Stallworth’s cellphone. He’s being held on $500,000 bond.

Derrick Irisha Brown is being held on a probation revocation with no bond. Her probation was for an unrelated kidnapping.

Police have not found any connection between the two and Kamille’s family.

Investigators are waiting for DNA evidence to determine whether Kamille was ever in the vehicle!
