The post Jalesa Gaines charged with manslaughter first appeared on The Published Pen.]]> Last November Jalesa Gaines was pulled over in Alabama for expired registration of her car.   At the time of her first arrest she was charged with abuse to a corpse and giving a false name.  Police had found a dead 5 day old baby boy in a shoe box in the trunk of her car.

When Gaines was pulled over on 14 November 2017 around 3 pm in Jackson Alabama, she gave police a fake name and birth date, and said she was on her way to Walmart.  When the police officer figured out that she gave a fake name and birth date, he asked to search her 1998 Honda Accord.  Gaines gave her consent.

In the trunk police found her 5 day old baby boy in a shoe box.

Documents state the baby was born alive on or around 9 November 2017.

Gaines was indicted the 24th of January on manslaughter charges.

Gaines was picked her up in McIntosh Alabama.  Gaines has other children.
