Hi Ian,

If I remember reading it correctly, there were 3 ladies found dead around the time Armonjean was found. I was looking through my files and found one guy named Edward Eugene Thompson who was arrested for a murder but not connected to Armonjean’s murder.
I don’t have any info on Harry Mason except that they didn’t think he was connected to Armonjean‘s murder at that time!
I’ll see if I can find more info on the guys that were suspects eliminated.

One, were they ever able to find Harry Mason? Two, do you know which five suspects were eliminated from her murder?

The Down in the Valley store that is there now is not the same one it happened in. The original one was down below. they moved it up top afterwards. I think that they just assumed it was Robert because it was 3 weeks after my uncle was killed that he committed the murders and, like you said, it fits neatly. They asked the clerk if it was him when it happened and she couldn’t confirm. When they showed her his picture 30 years later, she supposedly “went white as a ghost and said yes that was him”.
