Dariaz Higgins has been charged with killing Noelani’s mother Sierra Robinson on 11 March 2019 in Milwaukee.  I am not sure what state will be charging him with Noelani’s murder.

Deloise Lipsey traveled with Higgins prior to, and after the shooting death of Sierra Robinson on March 11. Authorities say Lipsey was with Higgins when authorities issued an Amber Alert for his 2-year-old daughter Noelani Robinson.

Lipsey said that she flew into Minnesota on 8 March and was picked up at the airport by Higgins and a guy she didn’t know. The 3 drove about 1 1/2 hours to Austin Minnesota. Higgins and Lipsey rented a room at a Rodeway Inn on the night of 8 March just outside of Austin. Investigators say Higgins gave Lipsey some marijuana and Hennessy before leaving her alone in the room by herself until the morning of March 10. Lipsey didn’t see Higgins on the day of the 9th.

Higgins and Lipsey left the hotel on March 10 on their way to Minneapolis. Higgins put her bags into the car, and he then went to his room and got the “trash” out of the room to put in the back of the car. She said that it was not unusual for them to take their trash from hotel rooms as they frequently had leftover drug evidence. After driving a short while, Higgins ordered Lipsey to pull over to the side of the road by Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, where police would eventually find Noelani Robinson’s remains. Higgins then got out, opened the rear tailgate of their car and threw a bundle out on the side of the road.

The two then drove to Minneapolis before Higgins changed the plan, saying he needed money from Rochester. From Rochester, the two drove to Milwaukee.

Investigators say Lipsey and Higgins then drove to Milwaukee. Lipsey said they got back to Milwaukee around 6 am Monday, 11 March. Higgins dropped her off near a corner store in the area of 21st and Wright around 9 am. She said she did not meet up with Higgins again until approximately 2 pm that day.

Around 1 pm Higgins killed Sierra Robinson and shot her friend!

Lipsey said after she met back up with Higgins on 11 March she got a phone call from someone who asked where she was. Lipsey said she lied and told the person on the phone with she was alone, drawing Higgins suspicion. The person on the phone told her that Higgins shotb2 women and took the child. Lipsey put the phone on speaker per Higgins request. She told the caller she was ok.

Lindsey claims she had become scared and played along with Higgins.

The two made their way to Chicago. Eventually, she said she got behind the wheel as the pair headed for Michigan early on 12 March.

Higgins had an interaction with a Livonia police officer, who Higgins later said he was going to kill because he had nothing to lose.

On 13 March investigators found the black SUV abandoned just south of the Wisconsin-Illinois border. A search warrant said a good Samaritan picked up Higgins and drove him to the rest stop in Pleasant Prairie, just inside the Wisconsin border.

Police have not revealed how they believe Higgins got to the Midpoint Motel on West Appleton Avenue where police arrested him.

Police also arrested a man who they believe had helped Higgins avoid police.

The complaint noted Higgins was formerly the women’s “pïmp.”

In February, “Sierra no longer wanted to be with DL and she moved to Las Vegas, leaving the child with DL.” But once in Las Vegas, Sierra tried to get Noelani back from Higgins. Eventually he agreed and on Saturday, 9 March “Sierra flew back to Milwaukee.”

Higgins agreed to let Sierra have Noelani on Monday. They were set to meet near 22nd and Fond du Lac. The woman who was wounded in the shooting told police she went with Sierra for this meeting — but the child was not with Higgins. Instead, the complaint said the “three of them drove around, smoking weed, drinking and talking about old times.” The woman told police she noticed Higgins had “a small, mini Draco AK style rifle in the driver’s map pocket.”

Higgins finally drove to an apartment building near 91st and Mill Road and “he told them that was where Noelani was.” The woman and Sierra were walking ahead of Higgins to the apartment when the woman said she heard gunshots. The woman said she “immediately felt pain to her stomach and she looked back and saw DL holding the Draco with two hands shooting at her and Sierra.” After the shooting, Higgins got back into the SUV and drove away.

BCA Conducting Death Investigation in Steele County

​ST. PAUL — The Minnesota Department of Public Safety Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) is investigating the death of a young girl who was located deceased in Steele County, Minn., Friday evening.

The Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has preliminarily identified the victim as Noelani Robinson, 2. The medical examiner determined the preliminary cause and manner of death to be homicide due to blunt force trauma to the head.

A passerby reported seeing a blanket and possible remains in a ditch along Hwy. 218 about a mile north of Blooming Prairie, Minn., on Friday, March 15, around 6 p.m. Law enforcement from the Blooming Prairie Police Department and the Steele County Sheriff’s Office responding to the scene located the child’s body wrapped in a blanket. She appeared to have been at that location for a number of days. The sheriff’s office requested that BCA conduct the investigation.

BCA agents and crime scene personnel responded to the scene in Steele County and worked throughout the night to collect evidence. In addition, early this morning BCA agents and crime scene personnel executed a search warrant at a hotel in Austin, Minn., where it is believed Higgins stayed at one point during the past week.

When, where and who killed Noelani Robinson will be determined during the course of the BCA’s investigation.

The BCA is conducting the investigation in partnership with the Steele and Mower County sheriff’s offices and the Austin, Blooming Prairie and Milwaukee police departments.

This is an active and ongoing investigation. When complete, the BCA will turn its findings over to the appropriate county attorney for review.

Under Minnesota law, the BCA is prohibited from providing details about an investigation while it is active.

An Amber Alert has been issued for a 2-year-old girl Noelani Robinson!

Noelani is believed to be with 34-year-old Dariaz Higgins.

Higgins is considered “armed and dangerous.” He also goes by the names Dariaz Taylor and Dariaz Lewis.

He was last seen driving a 2014 black Cadillac with Florida license plate #HVCZ95.
